Dealer code
What the Dealer Code setting does (puts a dealer's logo and contact details on the Home screen), how to enter or clear it, and what "Code not recognized" means.
In the app Settings › Dealer Code (the last card)
The dealer code is a branding setting. Entering a dealer's 4-digit code adds that dealer's logo, contact name, location and phone number to the top of the Home screen. It changes nothing else: no feature, setting or workflow depends on it, and the Ditch Assist® app works the same with or without one.
Before you start
- You have the 4-digit dealer code that came with your setup. Only dealers have one; if you don't, you don't need it.
- The app is open. No internet is needed: the codes are built into the app.
- It takes about a minute.
What it shows
With a code set, the logo area on Home becomes two lines: the Ditch Assist logo, then Powered by, the dealer's logo, the contact name and location, and the phone number. Without a code, Home shows the Ditch Assist logo alone.
The Ditch Assist support line is the same whether or not a dealer is shown: 1-833-DITCH-AS, support@ditchassist.com, Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central.
Enter a code
-
Tap Settings
In the column of big buttons down the right-hand edge of the screen, tap Settings: the fourth button from the top, with a gear icon.
- Settings. Fourth button down, gear icon.
-
Scroll to the very bottom
Slide a finger up the cards until they stop (how to scroll). Dealer Code is the last card, just above the Emlid Diagnostics button. It reads
Dealers: enter the 4-digit code provided with your setup to activate dealer branding
.
- Dealer Code. The last card.
- Emlid Diagnostics. The button just below it.
-
Tap the box that shows 0000
The box at the right of the card, before Apply. A number keyboard opens.
- Code box. Shows 0000 until you type.
-
Type the four digits
The box takes four digits and no more. Help with the keyboard: typing and hiding the keyboard.
-
Tap Apply
The white button with green writing, at the right-hand end of the card. (The tick key on the keyboard does the same.)
- Apply.
-
Check it worked
You should see a green message along the bottom of the screen:
Dealer branding active: …
with the dealer's name. The card now shows the dealer's name and details with an orange Clear. Tap Home in the sidebar to see the dealer's logo.A red
Code not recognized
under the description instead? See below.
Each code belongs to one dealer; Ditch Assist doesn't publish them.
Clear it
With a code set, the Dealer Code card shows the dealer's name and details, with an orange Clear at its right-hand end. Tap Clear. A message along the bottom of the screen says Dealer branding cleared
, and Home goes back to the plain Ditch Assist logo. Uninstalling the app also clears it.
"Code not recognized"
Code not recognized
appears in red under the description when the four digits don't match any dealer in this version of the app. Nothing is saved.
- Check the digits and try again.
- A dealer added recently may need a newer app version: compare your version (in the ABOUT card, two cards above Dealer Code) with the current release.
- If a code that used to work stops showing after an update, the dealer is no longer in that version; the app keeps the code but shows the standard Home screen.
Not sure whether you need a code at all? You don't: leave the card empty.
