Troubleshooting

Contour-Guided Terracing chapter of the Ditch Assist app manual. The same text is in the app under Manual.

"Generating contours needs a controller or the simulator." Contours need a controller connection or the built-in simulator. Bluetooth-only GPS can survey but can't generate contours or paint the zone. Connect a controller (or run the simulator) and try again.

"No contours were generated from this surface." The surface was too flat or too sparse for the contour spacing. Re-drive the field with tighter passes, or import a denser elevation file.

The zone band is grey / no uphill side. The app couldn't read which way the slope runs at the contour (very flat ground, or thin surface data). This is the slope unknown case — the band shades neutral and the position readout is best-effort. Use your own read of the field for uphill vs downhill.

The readout keeps saying OUTSIDE ZONE. You've drifted out of the corridor. Steer back toward the center of the band. If the zone is just too tight for the line you need, the corridor width is set per design — start over and set a wider Terrace Zone Width.

Berm chart line looks wrong / above terrain. Same as standard Terracing — the berm survey is likely on the wrong side of the channel, or Min Berm Height is set very high. Verify the berm is downhill and check the height value.

Resumed terrace has no zone drawn. The saved contour reference is unavailable, so the zone can't be redrawn — the install still works off your saved channel and berm routes. The app notes the contour reference is unavailable when this happens.
