Grading the pad
Leveling chapter of the Ditch Assist app manual. The same text is in the app under Manual.
In the app Manual › Leveling › Grading the pad
Pad grading is straightforward:
- Drive onto the pad area.
- Lower the blade onto the surface.
- Tap Start in the sidebar.
- Drive, watching the chevrons. Up arrows mean blade is below target; down arrows mean above.
- As you cover the pad, the coverage grid on the map fills in (dark green = on grade; lighter colors = work needed).
- Continue until the entire pad reads dark green.
Tap Stop when finished. The job auto-saves.
Nudge
Manual Nudge works in Leveling — ±2″ per tap, effectively unlimited range (±999″). Use it to lift the target temporarily through a soft spot.
Leveling does not support Auto-Nudge. A single target elevation is the whole design — there are no passes to stage. The Auto-Nudge toggle is not offered in the Leveling workflow.
Raise / Lower
Raise / Lower buttons sit at the bottom of the sidebar in Leveling mode. They are press-and-hold: the valve drives continuously while the button is held and stops the moment you release (or the gesture is cancelled). They are enabled only while a controller or simulator is connected. Useful for fine-tuning the starting position before Start or for jogging the implement during a Hold.
The Grade / Depth Guide
Once a target is set, the Grade / Depth Guide panel appears beside the map (right side for right-handed, left for left-handed): the yellow-and-black FINAL target tape, a down-pointing marker at blade elevation, a cyan CURRENT line when Nudge moves the working target, and a bottom readout with the signed error (tap it to toggle Current Tgt vs Final Tgt when they differ). Tap the panel to collapse it to a thin GRADE rail; the choice persists. See Getting Started → Grade / Depth Guide.
Change Target
An amber Change Target button sits in the sidebar whenever a leveling target is set. Tapping it halts grading (if running) and clears the target so the input bar reappears — the same button documented under Excavator → Dig Level Area.
Hold and release
Same as every grading mode. Hold pauses commands; Release resumes. Auto-hold engages on RTK loss.
