Troubleshooting
Contour Tiling chapter of the Ditch Assist app manual. The same text is in the app under Manual.
In the app Manual › Contour Tiling › Troubleshooting
"Generating contours needs a controller or the simulator." Drawing and following contours needs a controller connection or the built-in simulator. Bluetooth-only GPS can drive a survey but can't generate contours. Connect a controller (or run the simulator) and try again.
"No contours were generated from this surface." The surface was too flat or too sparse for the contour spacing. If you drive-mapped, re-drive with tighter passes. If you imported a file, try a denser elevation file.
The wrong contour keeps highlighting. The app highlights the nearest contour to where you are. Drive closer to the one you actually want before tapping Start — once you Start, it locks to whatever was highlighted.
The guidance jumped to a different contour mid-pass. It shouldn't, once recording starts — the active contour locks on Start. If it switched, you likely stopped and started again, which re-picks the nearest line. Drive back to your intended contour before restarting.
"Contour tile design — use the wizard." You tried to load a contour-tile design through the generic loader, but its saved contour reference is missing. Open Tiling → Contour Tiling → Load Existing Design (or Resume Job) so the route and contour are restored together.
Tile depth fluctuates in soft ground. Same as standard Tiling — the hydraulics may chase GPS jitter. Lower the CRS values in Settings → CONTROLLER, or switch to Hold and run the soft spot by hand.
