Building & recording coverage
Levee & Contour Guidance chapter of the Ditch Assist app manual. The same text is in the app under Manual.
In the app Manual › Levee & Contour Guidance › Building & recording coverage
As you build a levee along a contour, the app can paint your coverage on the map so you can see what you have done and what is left.
To record coverage:
- Select the contour you are working.
- Tap Start in the sidebar. The app begins painting a colored band along your path. The band is as wide as your Swath Width (Settings → IMPLEMENT, converted to metres) — the same coverage width the grading screens paint — so it scales with your configured implement.
- Drive the levee. The covered band fills in behind you in violet.
- Tap Stop when you finish that run. The run is saved as part of the coverage.
Completed coverage stays on the map as you switch between contours — only Clear All wipes it. The current run paints in amber while you drive, then joins the completed violet coverage when you stop.
Coverage is saved with the job
Your coverage is part of the saved job. When you reopen the job tomorrow, the whole map of what you built is right there, so you can see where to pick up. A coverage counter in the stats bar shows how many runs you have recorded.
This is your record, not blade control
Recording coverage does not move the blade — Levee mode never controls the blade. The painted band is purely your record of where you have been so you can track progress across a long job or multiple days.
