Saving & resuming jobs
Levee & Contour Guidance chapter of the Ditch Assist app manual. The same text is in the app under Manual.
In the app Manual › Levee & Contour Guidance › Saving & resuming jobs
A Levee job holds the whole project — the elevation surface, your contour settings, the field boundary, the active contour, and all your coverage — so a multi-day build picks up exactly where you left off.
Saving
When contours generate, the app auto-assigns a name like "Levee 2026-06-11 14:30" and auto-saves under it; it auto-saves again (silently, overwriting) after each coverage run and boundary change. Tapping Save Job in the sidebar always opens the name prompt, prefilled with the current — possibly auto-generated — name: confirm to keep it, or edit to rename. It is the automatic saves that are silent, not the manual ones. Once named, the sidebar button reads Save '
Resuming
- Tap the Levee card, then Use Existing Data (or open the Levee tab).
- Tap Load Saved Job on the source panel (or Load Job in the sidebar).
- Pick a job from the list — each row shows its name, boundary, coverage, and date.
- The app reloads the surface and rebuilds the contours from the saved data (so they regenerate, which takes a moment for big fields), restores your boundary, and paints back all your coverage.
- If you have your module connected, the contour you were following is reselected automatically.
Re-benchmark if needed
If the RTK base may have moved since you saved, drive to a benchmark and calibrate before you continue, so the new work lines up with the old. See Calibration & benchmarks.
Deleting a job
In the Load Job list, tap the trash icon on a row to delete that job from disk. Confirm in the popup.
Clear All
Clear All in the sidebar wipes the current session back to an empty Levee screen — contours, boundary, coverage, and the loaded surface. It does not delete saved jobs on disk, only what is loaded right now.
