LOGS

Settings Reference chapter of the Ditch Assist app manual. The same text is in the app under Manual.

In the app Manual › Settings Reference › LOGS

Log Level — Debug, Info, Warning, or Error. Default Info. Per the in-app tooltip: Debug = all activity including GPS detail; Info = connections, survey events, grading; Warning = RTK loss, stale GPS, errors; Error = failures only. Lower levels (Debug) mean more detail and bigger files.

Log Files — the row shows the file count and total size, with three buttons:

  • Send (primary) — opens the Send Logs dialog and uploads the logs directly to Ditch Assist support over the internet. The dialog requires an Operator Name (remembered for next time) and shows a privacy disclosure: uploads include GPS positions and elevations from recent sessions, device model and Android version, WiFi network names, survey/job/field names you typed, and your name; files go to private US-based storage that only Ditch Assist support staff can access, and are used only for troubleshooting. A tappable Privacy Policy link sits in the dialog, and a one-time I understand what will be sent consent checkbox must be ticked before the first upload — Send stays disabled until it is.
  • Share — concatenates ALL log files into one text file and opens the Android share sheet (not just the latest file).
  • Clear All — deletes the log files after confirmation.

The LOGS section ends with a short privacy note ("Logs include GPS positions and device info. See Privacy Policy.") with an in-app Privacy Policy link.

Logs are stored under Documents/DitchAssist/logs/ along with diagnostic snapshots taken every 60 seconds and on key events (GPS loss, grading start/stop).
