MODE
Settings Reference chapter of the Ditch Assist app manual. The same text is in the app under Manual.
In the app Manual › Settings Reference › MODE
The first section on the Settings screen. Two buttons pick how the app runs:
Ditch Assist — for machines with a Ditch Assist control module or the DIG excavator module — including guidance-only use with any RTK receiver connected through the module. Default on every install and update.
Ditch Assist Lite — guidance only, from an Emlid Reach RS3 / RS4 receiver over its Wi-Fi hotspot, for machines Ditch Assist can't automate (dozers, motor graders, self-propelled scrapers, skid steers with grading attachments). Every workflow works; the app never moves the blade. In Lite the CONTROLLER, DIG MODULE FIRMWARE, and PRE-START SAFETY sections are hidden, along with the Rock Hit Detection row in GRADING and the Send Commands row in DEBUG, and a DITCH ASSIST LITE section appears directly below MODE. Max Cut Depth and Auto Nudge stay — Auto-Nudge works in Lite.
Switching disconnects whatever is connected (after a Switch mode? confirmation) and clears the active workflow; it is refused while automatic grading is running. See the Ditch Assist Lite chapter.
