Measurement System — three choices:
- Feet + Inches — the traditional imperial display. Elevations and distances show in feet; small measurements (cut/fill error, nudge amount, blade height, chevron step, depth settings) show in inches.
- Decimal Feet — elevations and distances stay in feet, exactly as above. Everything that used to show in inches now shows in feet with two decimals instead (one decimal where the inch version only showed whole numbers) — a 2.0″ cut/fill error reads 0.17 ft, a 24″ blade height reads 2.00 ft, a 3″ chevron step reads 0.25 ft. Nothing about how the app measures or stores anything changes — only how those small numbers are shown, and how you type new ones in. In Decimal Feet the ± buttons and sliders on design and settings screens move in clean twentieths or tenths of a foot (0.05 ft or 0.1 ft per tap or detent) instead of a converted inch step, so the numbers you nudge through stay tidy.
- Metric — meters, cm, km/h, m³. All numeric displays and entry fields adapt instantly.
Switching between Feet + Inches and Decimal Feet never changes a stored value — flip back and forth as often as you like. Logs and diagnostic snapshots always record inches, no matter which display mode is active, so a service technician reading an exported log sees the same numbers either way.
Land Forming forces metric. Tapping the Land Forming workflow card while in Feet + Inches or Decimal Feet prompts Switch to Metric? — Forming designs are computed in metric internally. Cancelling the prompt keeps your current mode but blocks entry to the workflow.
